Wordish Wefnesday #1- Nana and Papa's "Christmas project day"
My parents and I try to get together every other weekend so they can see the kids. They are super helpful, so it's nice for me and the kids love it!
We were supposed to go see the lights at the zoo but it's been REALLY cold here so we decided on a "Christmas project day". My dad is an engineer, so he was in charge of the gingerbread house. My mom is super crafty so she was in charge of making ornaments. I was in charge of food and sugar cookies. I made wassle (basically spiced apple cider), homemade broccoli cheddar soup and steak sandwiches.
The kids, and my parents, had a BLAST! It was such a lovely day.

Mommy and Me Monday
This is my very first Mommy and Me Monday. I will be more prepared next week. There is actually a baby in the picture with me (he's asleep in the wrap). The Princess loves to decorate the tree, but Big Boy and Tiny Tot can be somewhat destructive, so we waited till Big Boy went to bed and daddy had Tiny Tot asleep on his back and I put Teeny in the wrap and we started decorating. It was a ton of fun! Hopefully next year Big Boy can get in on the fun.

Allow me to introduce us...
I am "Mama". I am the narrator of our story and the map keeper on our journey. I am first and foremost a lover of God, quickly behind that I am wife and mother, sister and freind. I am taxi-driver, school teacher, nurse, therapist, chef, maid, cuddler, freind, secret-keeper and thing finder. I am keeper of the memories and wearer of little bodies and my husband's hand. I try to be all things to all people but am learning that I can't do it all and that God provides people to help.
This is "Daddy" or "Big J". He is the head of our household and the navigator on our journey (God is the driver). He is holder of my hand and whatever little body that I cant wear at the moment. He is strong and funny and never minds a hard days work. He is husband, father, brother, freind. He is shy and quiet but extremely talented in drama and art. He is the wrestling, tickling, game playing fun guy with the kids. He is a shoulder to lean on and sleep on. He is helpmate, secret holder and a great place to land.
This is "The Princess". She is 8. Note the "The". She is the only girl in a house of boys and lets it be known. She is a Jesus-lovin, brother tacklin, science diggin, genius. She is as smart as a whip and has a crazy sense of humor. She is proof that different isn't wrong, it's great! She has an Asperger's diagnosis but is determined to be something great and to make a difference. She has a HUGE heart for China and anyone who is hurting. She is artist, freind, snuggle bunny, top secret sharer, spy and my #1 sidekick.
This is "Big Boy". He is 3 1/2 (that 1/2 is important when you're little). He came at 35 weeks and has been living life at 110 mph since. He is curious and freindly and has never met a stranger. He is our "kick butt and take names" kid. He loves to sing and run and is on the go all the time.He has Sensory Processing Disorder, Asthma and is working on his speech. He is my engineer, fire truck lover, protective big brother, jump off of anything, rough and tough dude.
This is "Tiny Tot" or "Baby J". He is his 22 months old. He is his father's clone. He has Asthma as well. He is our shy child (note the wary look) and takes awhile to warm up even to people he knows and loves. He is our logical child. He is my thinker, permanent appendage, music-lover and mischevious imp.
This is our newest addition, "Teeny". He was born on October 8th at 9lbs, 21.5 inches long. At 4 1/2 weeks, he was diagnosed with Epilepsy. So far he is our mild child. He pretty much sleeps, eats and hangs out unless his tummy bugs him or he's sick. He is already smiling like crazy and likes someone to be with him talking to him if he's awake, but doesnt care who it is.
